( Theme Sets )

Hello members!

Thank you to those who participated in the previous poll. I have yet to update the userinfo, but as of today we are changing things somewhat. I will now supply the community with ONE prompt per month, and in addition to that we now offer Theme Sets for members to claim and implement at any given time. Visit the Theme Set post for more details.


The prompt for JULY 2009 is:


"we have the rest of our lives"

1) We've got a new affiliate today: everyfandomfest!

2) I'd like to bring to the attention of any femslash lovers here, nick_girlslash is doing a femslash fanmix, where you can write fic or draw art for your favorite nickelodeon fem pairings. So far only ONE person (me) has signed up with a Hey Arnold pairing, so if you're at all interested in participating, I encourage you hop on over there and check it out. Signups close June 17th.

3) Finally, I've been thinking about this community lately. I'd like to bring it back to life, but I want to change the way we play.

I'd like to offer theme sets for claim, similar to other challenge comms like 1fandom and a thousand others. For example, you claim this set of six prompts and have three months to execute them (fic, art, whatever) and post them to the comm.

EXAMPLE SET

1. Winter	2. Save	3. Mess
4. Hunt	5. Replace	6. Success

We'd have a variety of sets to choose from (and better than the top-of-my-head example above). Maybe even two different set sizes: sets of six and sets of twelve? And a timeframe like, complete a set of six in three months, or a set of twelve in six months. Something low-pressure like that.

It would be very convenient for me if we could just have these theme sets and do away with the monthly/weekly prompts altogether, but I want whatever the community wants. So I'm giving you all a chance to vote. Please do! You may select as many options as you like.

Author’s Note: My justification is that Arnold’s family had a piano, and he might’ve picked up how to play from his grandmother. Set in the same future/universe as No Strings Attached and Don’t Tap the Glass. Also, this community needs so much more love. :( In any case, enjoy.

Warnings: Mild language in one spot since Dr. Bliss got a little frustrated.
Author’s Note: I know a lot of people took a Helga approach to this, but I always saw Arnold as also having unresolved issues. Not to mention his mind’s probably somewhat screwy, too, what with his upbringing and what he’s been through. Besides, I always wanted to see Dr. Bliss and Arnold go at it at least once. Set before “The Journal”.

Hey guys. There has been a lack of submissions and comments over the past few months, so I'm putting ha_prompts on hiatus. I can't say how long, probably just a few months. Maybe I'll issue a special challenge when we come back? But if we come back and there is still low participation, I might cease updates altogether.
